TROPICAL Cyclone Ului con- tinued yesterday to march closer to the Tweed.
As of 5.45pm DST yesterday the storm was 1210km north-east of Mackay and moving south at 6km/h.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s “uncertain” prediction warned the category-four cyclone will change direction to west-south-west tomorrow and possibly cross the coast somewhere between Gladstone and Bowen.
Huge swell generated from the cyclone is expected to start arriving on Tweed beaches from tomorrow, with rain and wind speeds increasing depending on the proximity of TC Ului.
