THE BINGLE bungle will give Bond University head of communication and media Professor Mark Pearson plenty to discuss with his students in the coming months.

Model Lara Bingle, 22, has been bowled over by a nude photo scandal which began after former flame AFL star Brendan Fevola snapped a shot of her in the shower and it was leaked to the media.

Bingle’s fiancée, Australian Cricket Test vice-captain Michael Clarke, reportedly hit out at his partner over returning to Woman’s Day– who originally published the condemning photograph – for an alleged $200,000 interview.

Clarke returned from Australia’s one-day tour of New Zealand earlier this week to be by his fiancée’s side amid speculation he called the engagement off.

Prof Pearson said everyone has got a lot to learn from the scandal.

“With all this technology at everyone’s fingertips they have to understand the consequences of their actions these days,” Prof Pearson said.

“I will have a lot to talk about in class with all these legal and ethical issues involved with this.

“There are issues with breaches of privacy, damage to reputations and maybe infringement of copyright.”

Prof Pearson said Fevola would have the biggest lesson to learn.

“Footballers only used to have to know how to play football, but that’s not all that’s in the job description these days,” he said.

“There are things like gender issues and how to act responsibly that they must take into account.”

The AFL is conducting an investigation into the conduct of Fevola.
