A WOMAN who was caught driving more than six times over the legal alcohol limit while her two children were in the car was given a dire warning in Tweed Heads Local Court yesterday.

Magistrate Michael Dakin told Rosa Annika Roskvist she was in real danger of spending time in prison.

“It is hard to imagine a more-aggravated set of facts for an alcohol-related driving offence,” Mr Dakin said.

Roskvist, 38, was caught in Sutherland Street, Kingscliff with a blood-alcohol concentration of .320 per cent.

Her two children, an eight-year-old daughter and six-year-old son, were in the car, and police immediately notified Department of Community Services (DoCS).

The Casuarina woman has pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving and yesterday Mr Dakin ordered her to attend “forum sentencing” and return to court on March 22.

Roskvist’s solicitor, Joe O’Neill said she had undergone “extensive re- habilitation” since the incident.

He said the children were in the care of Roskvist’s ex-husband and she had been allowed visits, but was still “overcoming the grief of not having her children”.
