Robinson's aerial assault

Murwillumbah's Mark Robinson will put his skills to the test during the Banana Festival Tweed River Spectacular.

MURWILLUMBAH water skier Mark Robinson is preparing a barrage of aerial assaults when he showcases his skill at the Banana Festival Tweed River Spectacular later this month.

Robinson, a seasoned skier with almost 30 years experience, started out on the back of his parent's boat and then progressed to become a performance show skier at Seaworld on the Gold Coast.

“I have competed in tournaments all over Australia in three different events, barefoot, slalom trick and jump and I have also show-skied internationally,” Robinson said.

The 39-year-old said he was looking forward to delivering a top display on a hydrofoil at this year's festival.

The Banana Festival Tweed River Spectacular will kick off from 10am on Sunday, August 23 on the Murwillumbah reach of the Tweed, in front of Budd Park.
