POLICE are still working to identify a man who was killed by a truck on the Pacific Highway at Sexton Hill earlier today.
The man was walking along Sexton Hill, near Tweed Heads South, at about 9am when he was hit by a vehicle transporter.
Police said they were unable to identify the man, who was found dead at the scene.
Witnesses said the man stepped into the path of the truck.
The pedestrian is described as being in his 40s or 50s, of white complexion and with an obese build.
He was wearing black tracksuit pants, a black jumper and white sneakers. Anyone with information that could help police can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
