Agents roll out carpet for new era

THERE is no where to go but up for Mark Humphries and Lance Cotterill.

The two Tweed real estate identities yesterday re-branded their 28-year-old Tweed Heads Raine & Horne franchise as North Estate Agents with the goal of branching out throughout the Tweed and Gold Coast.

Mr Humphries, the principal for North, said it will be a force to be reckoned with.

“Our contemporary re-branding reflects our commitment to continuous growth and success in the market. It reflects our desire to change with the times and position ourselves to give our clients every advantage,” Mr Humphries said.

The new agency rolled out the red carpet yesterday for special guests, including real estate expert Robert Bevan and state member for Tweed Geoff Provest amongst a host of others.

Mr Humphries said North Estate Agents have plans to set up full offices in Pottsville and Murwillumbah before moving up the Gold Coast and towards Brisbane.

“We've always wanted to grow but we couldn't do that before under our previous franchise because of constrictions,” he said.

“We had a good relationship with Raine and Horne but we just couldn't expand like we wanted to under them.”

The team at North has been handpicked by Mr Humphries and Mr Cotterill.

“We have a revitalised team of passionate individuals, headed by the same principals, with a fresh new identity to take us firmly into the future,” Mr Cotterill said.

Under the Raine & Horne name, Mr Humphries and Mr Cotterill sold $120 million worth of property last year.

“Following extensive market research we identified the strong demand from the market for new technologies and innovation when selling or buying property,” Mr Humphries said.

“We know the people, culture and properties like no other. To retain our position as the leaders within the ever-changing Tweed property market it's necessary for us to grow with the region.

“To achieve truly outstanding results you need a commitment to service and an intimate understanding of the local market, its buyers and its fluctuations.”

Technology will play a major role in North's future.
