NON-profit organisations and Tweed Shire Council have been invited to get in for grants of up to $400,000 for community facilities that will stimulate employment and the Tweed economy.
NSW Upper House politician Amanda Fazio, who the Labor Government has asked to help represent the North Coast, said the grants were part of a $35million Community Building Partnership program aimed at stimulating the economy at the local level.
“The NSW Government will provide funds up to $400,000 for local councils and not-for-profit organisation such as charities, sporting, social and environmental groups for the building of local community projects that will deliver positive results,” Ms Fazio said.
She said those interested should check out the criteria and application pack online at www.communitybuildingpartnership.nsw.gov.au.
